In this week’s update, it was a slower week but I wanted to talk about something I feel like everyone struggles with, burnout. In case you don’t know burnout is that feeling when you have no drive to do something because you have been doing it so much recently. I’m sure we all come across this in some form whether it is with work, school, or even something we are passionate about. Recently I have been struggling with it just because I have been doing so much between school, work, and my photography that I have needed to remind myself that it is okay to take breaks and do something else. Especially in the modern-day hustle culture, we can feel guilt when we aren’t working or like we are failing when we aren’t always pursuing our dreams. But we need to remind ourselves that this is not true and that self-care is important. So whether you are going to watch a movie, learn something new, or hang out with friends, remember to take time for yourself so you don’t burn yourself out and hate what you do.
